This polychrome cake dish (also suitable as a herring dish) was hand-painted at the Royal Tichelaar Makkum (Friesland) and has a decoration with leaf and flower motifs. On the back there is a mark and model number: LL 28.

This polychrome cake dish fits both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a (side) table or on a bar. In addition, it can also be used as a serving dish, for example for a High Tea!
About Royal Tichelaar Makkum (1565 – present)
Royal Tichelaar is the oldest Dutch family business, founded in 1565. This earthenware factory enjoys great fame for its extensive range of decorative tiles and pottery, made from locally mined yellow clay. This clay is hand shaped and painted in the traditional way.
