Around 1920-1930, this vase was manufactured in Gouda. On the vase are floral motifs painted by hand, in different colors such as blue, yellow, red and green. On the bottom it reads the following: 3193 (model number), Carlos (decor), a house with the painter’s initials to its right and ‘Royal Plazuid Gouda Holland’.

About Koninklijke Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (1898-1965)
The Koninklijke Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland, also known as Plazuid, was founded on 2 April 1898 by the Gouda potter Adrianus Jonker Krijnszoon together with Egbert Estié (1865-1910) from Purmerend. At the beginning of the 20th century Plazuid grows into the largest pottery factory and also the largest employer in Gouda. The factory built up a large assortment of models and decorative motifs that always represented current trends and changes in taste.
