This small bonbonnière was made around 1930 at the Koninklijke Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (Plazuid, PZH) in Gouda. The box is hand-painted: floral motifs are on the top of the lid on a white background. The side is decorated with blue dots on a white background. At the bottom there is the mark of the factory, 2820 (model number) Rhodian (decor) Gouda and the initials of the painter AB.

About Koninklijke Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (1898-1965)
The Koninklijke Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland, also known as Plazuid, was founded on 2 April 1898 by the Gouda potter Adrianus Jonker Krijnszoon together with Egbert Estié (1865-1910) from Purmerend. At the beginning of the 20th century Plazuid grows into the largest pottery factory and also the largest employer in Gouda. The factory built up a large assortment of models and decorative motifs that always represented current trends and changes in taste.
