Delft Blue Ribbed Vase (Royal Delft – Porceleyne Fles)

This Delft Blue ribbed vase was manufactured in 1927 at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft. The ribbed vase is hand-painted: floral images are depicted on the vase. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter’s initials: IJ, the year code AW (1927) and the model number 532.

This Delft Blue ribbed vase fits both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a TV cabinet, bar, table or on the windowsill. The height of the ribbed vase, 27.5 cm, makes it perfect for many types of (silk) bouquets.
