Delft Blue Lidded Vase (Royal Delft – Porceleyne Fles)

This Delft Blue lidded vase was manufactured at the Porceleyne Fles in Delft in 1971. The vase is hand-painted: the vase depicts flowers and on the lid is a blue painted lion. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT standing for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876) intertwined underneath. Below the bottle is the word “Delft” with a cursive capital D. On the left side are the initials of the painter: RST (Mrs. R. Stadtman), the year code CP (1971) and the model number 1175.

This Delft Blue lidded vase fits both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a bar, TV cabinet or in a bookcase. The height of the lid vase, 30 cm, makes it perfect for many types of (silk) bouquets.
