Delft Blue Knobbed Vase (Royal Delft – Porceleyne Fles)

This Delft Blue knobbed vase was manufactured at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft in 1979. The knobbed vase is hand-painted: floral motifs are depicted on the front and back. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined below (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital D. On the left side are the painter’s initials: G.KO (Mr. G. Koolhaas), the year code CY (1979) and the model number 2774.
