This polychrome plate was hand-painted around 1960 at the Dutch pottery factory Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum in Friesland. The rim is decorated with flowers and geometric motifs. In the centre, the plate has a decorated fruit basket. On the back of the plate there is a mark of the Tichelaar factory, model number and the signature of the painter.
Interior advice
This polychrome plate fits both a classic and a modern interior. You can place it on a TV cabinet or in a bookcase, for example. It can also be hung on the wall as there is iron wire at the back.

Royal Tichelaar is the oldest Dutch family business founded in 1565. This pottery factory enjoys great fame for its extensive range of decorative tiles and pottery, made from locally mined yellow clay. This clay is hand-formed and painted using traditional methods.
