This polychrome plate was hand-painted around 1950 at the Dutch earthenware factory Royal Tichelaar Makkum in Friesland. The rim is decorated with flowers and a blue grid pattern. In the center, flowers and a butterfly are depicted. On the back of the plate there is a mark of the factory Tichelaar, model number and the signature of the painter.
Interior advice
This polychrome plate fits in both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a TV cabinet or in a bookcase. In addition, this plate can also be hung on the wall since there is an iron wire present at the back.

Royal Tichelaar is the oldest Dutch family business, founded in 1565. This earthenware factory enjoys great fame for its extensive range of decorative tiles and pottery, made from locally mined yellow clay. This clay is hand shaped and painted in the traditional way.
