About Regina
Regina was a pottery established in Gouda in 1898 by Gerrit Frederik van der Want. The name refers to the coronation year (1898) of Queen Wilhelmina. In the early days, Regina produced the shiny plateel, but due to public demand, the mat plateel was introduced. The factory closed its doors in 1979.
