Delft Blue Bowl (Royal Delft – Porceleyne Fles)

This Delft Blue bowl was manufactured at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft in 1955. The vase is hand-painted: floral and geometric motifs are depicted on the bowl. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a cursive capital D. On the left side are the painter’s initials AVK, the year code BZ (1955) and the model number 1486.

This Delft Blue bowl fits both classic and modern interiors. For example, you can place it on a TV cabinet, (side) table, kitchen worktop or on a bar. You can possibly put fruit in it or during holidays, such as Christmas, Christmas balls as decoration.
