This Delft Blue bowl was manufactured at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft in 1955. The vase is hand-painted: floral and geometric motifs are depicted on the bowl. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a cursive capital D. On the left side are the painter’s initials AVK, the year code BZ (1955) and the model number 1486.
