This Delft Blue plate was manufactured in 1983 at the Porceleyne Fles in Delft. The plate is hand painted: floral and geometric motifs are depicted on the rim and in the center. There is also a bird in the center of the plate. On the back is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with underneath the initials JT (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter’s initials RWA, the year code DC (1983) and the model number 3430.

This Delft Blue plate fits both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a TV cabinet or in a bookcase. In addition, the plate can also be hung on the wall since there is an iron wire present at the back.
