Delft Blue Ginger jar (Royal Delft – Porceleyne Fles)

This Delft Blue ginger pot was manufactured at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft in 1979. The ginger jar is hand-painted: floral motifs are depicted on all sides and the lid. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined below (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital D. On the left side are the initials of the painter: HLE (Mrs. H. v. Leeuwen), the year code DK (1991) and the model number 1003.

Interior advice
This Delft Blue ginger jar fits both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a bar, on a shelf or windowsill in the kitchen. The ginger pot also looks great on a sideboard.
