About Oud Delft pottery
In 1921 the company Oud Delft was founded by Roelof Elshout as the N.V. Industrie- en Handelsmaatschappij ‘Oud Delft’ in Nijmegen. Because Potterie Rembrandt in Nijmegen ceased production in 1925, Oud Delft took over. Not until 1935 were the products provided with their own brand: a turntable surrounded by the letters OUD and underneath ‘Delft’. In 1996 the factory was moved to Waddixveen and since then has been part of the pottery factory ”t Delftsche Huys’.
