In 1985, this polychrome plate was manufactured at the Porceleyne Fles in Delft. The plate is hand painted: in the center are a floral motifs. and two birds of paradise. The rim is also decorated with floral motifs. The flowers are painted in relief. On the back is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined below (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital D. On the left side are the painter’s initials JBL (J. R. Blom), the year code DE (1985) and the model number p108.
