About pottery Oud Delft
In 1921 the company Oud Delft was founded by Roelof Elshout as the N.V. Industrie- en Handelsmaatschappij ‘Oud Delft’ in Nijmegen. Because Potterie Rembrandt in Nijmegen ceased production in 1925, Oud Delft took over. It was not until 1935 that the products were given their own mark: a turntable surrounded by the letters OUD and ‘Delft’ underneath. In 1996 the factory was moved to Waddixveen and since then has been part of the pottery factory ”t Delftsche Huys’.
