This Delft Blue vase was manufactured in 1996 at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft. The vase is hand-painted: floral motifs are depicted on the front and back. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter’s initials: LBA (A. F. Den Braver), the year code DP (1996) and the model number 8028.

De Porceleyne Fles is known worldwide for its products and in 1919 the factory received the designation Royal.
