Delft Blue Ginger Jar (Royal Delft – Porceleyne Fles)

This Delft Blue ginger pot was manufactured at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft in 1964. The tea pot is hand-painted: floral motifs are depicted on all sides and the lid. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined below (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a cursive capital D. On the left side are the painter’s initials NDG, the year code CI (1964) and the model number 1639.

Interior advice
This Delft Blue ginger jar fits both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a bar, on a shelf or windowsill in the kitchen. The ginger pot also looks great on a tray during a High Tea!
