This Delft Blue ginger pot was manufactured at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft in 1982. The tea pot is hand-painted: floral motifs are depicted on all sides and the lid. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a cursive capital D. On the left side are the painter’s initials COU, the year code DB (1982) and the model number 5462.
