This Delft Blue bonbonnière was made in 1979 at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft. The bonbonnière is hand-painted: floral motifs and flies are depicted. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Beneath the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter’s initials: LSC, the year code CY (1979) and the model number 1125.
