This hand-painted Delft Blue vase was made at the Porceleyne Fles in Delft in 1962.

This Delft Blue vase was manufactured in 1962 at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft. This vase is hand painted: flowers are depicted on the spherical vase. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter’s initials: AVS, the year code CG (1962).

De Porceleyne Fles is known worldwide for its products and in 1919 the factory received the designation Royal.
