This Delft Blue plate was manufactured in 1986 at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft. The plate is hand-painted: floral and geometric motifs are depicted, both on the rim and in the circle located centrally on the plate. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter’s initials: MKO (M. Koelewijn), the year code DF (1986) and the model number 2041.
Interior advice
This Delft Blue plate fits both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a TV cabinet or in a bookcase. In addition, this plate can also be hung on the wall thanks to the iron wire at the back.
About De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft)
