This Delft Blue gift plate was manufactured in 1955 at the Porceleyne Fles in Delft. The plate is hand-painted: floral motifs are depicted on the rim and a circle containing a flower basket is depicted in the center. On the back is the inscription: ‘Offered by the Management of the N.V. Hollandsche Draad- en Kabelfabriek Amsterdam’.  Above this inscription is the logo of Draka. This was N.V. Hollandsche Draad- en Kabelfabriek, located in Amsterdam. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter’s initials LW (L. v.d. Walle), the year code BZ (1955) and the model number 105.

Interior advice
This Delft Blue gift plate fits both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a TV cabinet or in a bookcase. In addition, this plate can also be hung on the wall since there is an iron wire present at the back.

About De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft)
