This polychrome lidded vase was hand-painted around 1960 at the Dutch pottery factory Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum in Friesland. The vase is decorated with geometric and floral motifs and depicts an Oriental-clad lady holding a vase of flowers. On the lid is a lion sitting on a rock. The bottom bears the Tichelaar factory mark, model number, and the painter’s signature.
