This Delft Blue plate was manufactured in 1979 at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft. The plate is hand-painted: floral and geometric motifs are depicted, both on the rim and in the circle located centrally on the plate. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word Delft with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter’s initials: RNO, the year code CY (1979) and the model number.
