These Delft Blue decorative vases were manufactured in 1982 at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft. They are hand painted: flowers and a bird are depicted on the vases. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter’s initials: BOO (A. Boon), the year code DB (1982) and the model number 2036.

Interior advice
These Delft Blue decorative vases fit both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place them on a TV cabinet, kitchen worktop, (side) table, windowsill or in a bookcase. Because of the height of the vases, 20 cm., it is perfectly suitable to put plants in them (see photo).

About De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft)
The Delft-based Porceleyne Fles pottery, also known as Royal Delft, is the only remaining manufacturer of Delft Blue in Delft, which has been hand-painting decorations on objects such as vases, wall plates, tiles and jugs since 1653, according to old tradition. De Porceleyne Fles is known worldwide for its products and in 1919 the factory received the designation Royal.
