In 1975, this jardinière was manufactured at the Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) in Delft. The jardinière is hand-painted: it features flowers and geometric motifs. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word ‘Delft’ with a cursive capital D. On the left side are the painter’s initials: RG, the year code CU (1975) and the model number 2439.

This Delft Blue jardiniere fits both a classic and a modern interior. For example, you can place it on a (side) table, on a dresser or in a bookcase. You can also use it to decorate for Christmas or Easter; place Christmas balls or eggs in it.

About De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft)
