The candlestick is hand-painted: floral motifs are depicted on all sides. At the bottom is the mark of De Porceleyne Fles: an apothecary jar with the initials JT intertwined underneath (these stand for Joost Thooft, owner of the company in 1876). Below the bottle is the word \u2018Delft\u2019 with a curly capital letter D. On the left are the painter\u2019s initials: MGV, the year code CV (1976) and the model number 1314.<\/p>\n<p><em>Interior advice<\/em><br \/>\nThis Delft Blue candlestick fits both a classic and a modern interior. You can place it for example on a TV cabinet, bathroom cabinet, (side) table, nightstand, bar or in a terrarium.<\/p>\n<p><em>About De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft)<\/em><br \/>\nThe Delft-based Porceleyne Fles ceramics factory, also known as Royal Delft, is the only manufacturer of Delftware still in existence in Delft, which has been hand-painting decorations on objects such as vases, wall plates, tiles and jugs since 1653, in accordance with old tradition.
